Cassandra S. Michel, Esq.

Attorney at Law

Cassandra Michel became a member of the California Bar in June 2020 and is a certified Co-Parenting Specialist. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Michel geared her career primarily toward the field of family law with over four years of experience working at different private family law firms throughout Southern California.

Cassandra received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Economics from the State University of New York College at Buffalo and attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

While obtaining her Juris Doctorate, Ms. Michel volunteered for the Family Law Self Help Clinic in San Diego, where she aided in providing pro-bono legal assistance to low-income community members concerning family law issues such as marriage, domestic violence, divorce, and child custody. Ms. Michel’s work with the Family Law Self Help Clinic further affirmed her commitment to working in the field of family law.

Ms. Michel is a member of the Sacramento Bar Association and continues to provide pro bono legal services for non-profit organizations. In her free time, she serves as a member of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Alumni Board and enjoys exploring other countries and getting outside with her crazy but adorable Siberian Husky. Cassandra spent her summer months of 2017 in Nice, France, studying international constitutional law under Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Ms. Michel’s worldly experiences and her even-tempered nature serves her well in difficult arguments with opposing parties in and outside of court. As an effective negotiator, she is able to find creative solutions to her client’s problems, and works to ensure that opposing parties consider all options before escalating issues to trial.
